Almost all telecom service providers, including public sector operators, are not fully complying with the subscribers? verification process, communications and information technology minister A Raja told the Lok Sabha on Monday.
?It is found during verification process that some of the subscribers have been enrolled by mobile service providers without proper verification,? he said in a written reply.
Raja also said, ?As per a study conducted on internet security by one of the international industry leaders, the spam origination in India amounts to 76%.? He added when compared with top 25 spam-producing countries, India accounts for only 1% of the spam mails.
