Samsung is planning to give competition to Nokia in smartphones by targetting 40% market share by the end of the year in India. At present, Samsung occupies the second position in the Indian market with 27% market share in smartphones.
Ranjit Yadav, country head , Samsung Mobile & IT told FE, ?Our smartphone portfolio has helped us register strong growth in the mobile market in the country. We are targetting 40% of market share by the end of the year in the smartphone category on the back of our galaxy series of android-based and bada-based Wave series smartphones.?
