Wireless your life is the simple philosophy that Rapoo has always adhered to. In recent months, this Chinese company?s range of peripheral products such as wireless mice, wireless keyboards, wireless headsets and wireless speakers have become quite popular in the market. Its T6 wireless touch optical mouse is now attracting attention with its elegant looks. The mouse is priced at Rs 4,049.
A unique selling point of any Rapoo product lies in its excellent design. The T6 is slim with gently arching paddle and has no visible buttons, scroll wheel, or anything else: just a glossy plastic surface. In terms of looks, it resembles Apple?s Magic Mouse. It measures 59 mm x 114 mm in terms of body dimensions.
The Rapoo T6 wireless touch mouse has 2.4 GHz wireless connection with upto 10 metres working range. Its intelligent multi-touch technology brings a creative driving gesture for mouse. Its system requirements: Windows XP/Vista/7, Windows 8 and a USB port.
The front half is touch-sensitive, letting you left-click, right-click, and scroll both vertically and horizontally. There?s also a two-finger left/right swipe gesture for ?back? and ?forward? commands, which is easy to make intentionally and hard to make on purpose: no accidental web-page switching.
In terms of usage, the mouse slips cleanly and quietly across most surfaces. However, it is uncomfortable to use for long periods and the scrolling is not smooth all the time. Also, the gestures is very hard to actually activate, and if you manage to do it it won?t work as it should. You might face problems while playing games with this mouse as although there?s a physical click button under the surface, whether you?re left or right-clicking is decided by the touch panel. This means you can?t hold right (aim) while left-clicking (fire). Battery life is good and the mouse runs for around 80-90 days.
Overall, the T6 is high on looks and features, but falls short in performance.
