PVR plans to spend Rs 75 crore to open new screens under its multiplex business and to expand its Blue-O gaming centre business, the company’s group president Pramod Arora said on Wednesday. ?We planned to open 50 new screens in the current fiscal. We have added 13 screens since April and the remaining 37 will be added by March,? he said. PVR currently has 142 movie screens across India. The company will also speed up expansion of Blue-O, the bowling centres it operates in shopping malls. PVR had entered into a venture with Thailand?s Major Cineplex in 2008 for the gaming centre business. It currently operates one such gaming centre with 24 bowling lanes in Gurgaon.
