PanIIT, a leading technology summit of IIT alumnus, is hosting its 9th Global conference in Delhi from 29th October to 31st October this year. The theme of the two day summit is ?Sustainable Transformation: Our New India? and promises two days of learning and networking opportunities for all the participants.

The PanIIT 2010 Global Conference will bring together a diverse group of thought leaders from industry, academia, government and alumni of the prestigious IIT?s. Many eminent speakers and panelists will be participating in the conference and will share their views on challenges and opportunities in critical areas such as education, energy, climate change, public health and digital infrastructure.

The 2010 chapter of PanIIT will address the imperatives of emerging ?New India?, where the speakers and delegates will deliberate on the various facets of growth and transformation and identify ways and means to ensure sustainable and equitable use of available human and natural resources in India.

The Pan IIT is an umbrella organization, covering alumni of all seven IIT?s. It was formed in 2002 by some like-minded IIT alumni, with a vision of helping IITs and IIT Alumni achieve their full potential and to evolve a brand that would provide strong fraternity among IIT alumni. Over the years, PanIIT movement has developed and consolidated itself in many ways. It has now fully functional chapters in India, US, EU, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore.

PanIIT has made significant contribution to the country by starting several initiatives in order to help India become the global hub for knowledge creation and talent development. Some of their key initiatives include ?IITians for ITIs’ to help drive sustainable excellence in the technical and vocational training in India by creating institutions similar to the IITs but focused on vocational education and highly skilled workers.
