Pantel Technologies is the latest to join the slate bandwagon. In collaboration with state-owned BSNL, Pantel has launched the TPAD WS802C tablet at a price of about Rs 11,000.

The Penta TPAD WS802C tablet is a powerful and flexible internet and entertainment solution. The display is an eight-inch capacitive touchscreen with a maximum resolution of 800 x 600p and aspect ratio of 4:3, which makes for a good image and picture quality. You can easily play high definition videos without any hassle. It is powered by a 1 GHz processor and 512 MB DDRIII RAM for seamless performance. It comes preloaded with Android 4.0 (ICS) and is supported by 4 GB internal memory.

Built in GPS ensures that you never lose your way on the streets. Browse the Web wirelessly or enjoy media on a sleek media device. Connectivity options include USB, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and HDMI. Users can also enjoy 1080P high definition videos, photos, music, and more in the comfort of their living rooms when connected to the television via HDMI.

The Penta TPAD has 4 GB of inbuilt internal memory and features a microSD card slot for upgrading the capacity to up to 32 GB. It comes equipped with built-in 0.3 MP front-facing and 2.0 MP rear cameras for video calling. Both the front and rear cameras are decent enough for video calling and clicking photos. In the Antutu tests, it scored a good 3782 points. Its graphics and animation capabilities are justified with scores of 9,282 and 28,332 in An3DBench and An3DBenchXL. And in the Vellamo mobile Web browsing test, it scored 919 points. The 3000mAh battery lasts 6-7 hours on normal use.
