The release of the Malkangiri district collector R Vineel Krishana will take some more days as the Maoists are not happy with the outcome of the negotiations between the government officials and the interlocutors for the Maoists.
?The outcome of the negotiation between the bureaucrats and the mediators for the Maoists has not satisfied the abductors?, sources in the state intelligence police told FE. ?The entire official process and the media role has enraged the captivators of the district collector.? said sources.
The Maoists are questioning the seriousness on the part of the government in implementation of the demands agreed upon. The denial of bails to Padma and others by the Orissa High Court has given an impression in the mind of the Maoists that the government is not serious about the release of the Maoists in jails. ? If Ghanti Prasadam could be released on bail, why Padma and other three could not get the bails even though they had applied for bail in the same cases?? said a source quoting the Maoists.
On the release of the Pabitra Mohan Majhi, the sources said that Majhi was not the target of the abductors.
The announcement about the release of the abducted IAS officer by the chief minister, home secretary, and also the mediators has not gone well with the abductors. Moreover, the media reports about the release also disturbed the abductors, said the sources.
Pabitra Mohan Majhi has arrived the district headquarter town of Malkangiri on Wednesday. The Maoists released Majhi in the forest near village Dolaamba in Malkangiri district. From there he was brought to Chitrakonda by local villagers on a motor-bike. The chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, said that the district collector would reach the district headquarter town safely.
?As per the assurance by the interlocutors, Vineel Krishana would safely return latest by Thursday?, he told the Orissa Assembly on Wednesday.
