Holi was over on the 18th of March in Braj Bhoomi but in the political capital of Delhi the date was defied by the government and they decided, arbitrarily, to celebrate Holi on a day of their choice that had nothing to do with Holi at all. It had to do with being in power for five years…this could well be inauspicious for them! I wonder what they will do on Diwali, amavasya. Why do our governments get embroiled in these kind of inanities instead of the more substantive issues? Does it suit them to keep the people of India in the mire that they have created, hoping it will become a quagmire and soon suffocate them?

The dream that Bush had has become a reality. The country with the largest number of weapons of destruction with efficient delivery systems has attacked Iraq that can barely defend itself. It was the US that used chemical warfare in Vietnam. It used a nuclear ?device? in Japan. It created ?suicide bombers? because of its policies towards the rest of the world and today it has the gall to pontificate on all these issues, to go to war on these issues. It believes all these horrific weapons are acceptable but only in the ?right? hands…those hands being theirs and theirs alone. Quite sick.

The US is the most dangerous nation on this planet. If your views or ideology differ from theirs you have had it…you may well be the next target. If you follow their example, particularly in the area of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), you will be their target. They have no understanding whatsoever of ancient cultures, philosophies, values; they believe that their ?morality? is the new mantra and compel all to follow. They do not realise that their mantra is unacceptable to the cultures of the world. Being the big bully works this far and no further.

And, with this new initiative of invading and wanting to occupy another country in an attempt to control a region far away from their own, they are beginning the process of their gradual isolation. That is the only positive aspect of their cowboyism. They truly are American cowboys and have lived up to their reputation. The sad thing is that the American people will have to pay the price. When countries cannot defend themselves against the assault conducted on them with sophisticated WMD, they are bound to resort to human bombs in sheer desperation.

The US is today one of the most dangerous countries to be in. Tony Blair, as the loyal poodle, is a joke. But the people of Britain are to be saluted for their strong protest and will probably be safer than the American public. The Brits will finally win. Blair will lose.

Would not the world be as dull as dishwater if all countries were to emulate America? We would be living on McDonald?s burgers and Coke, leading sterile lives with zero intellectual debate and discussion, living in ?little boxes?, flying their national flag! The great cultures of the Middle East, Asia and Europe would be killed off by a 200 year-old inexperienced ?culture?. What a regression for our world.

Saddam has learned all his lessons from the US and taken his cue from them in his attempt to build a nuclear and chemical arsenal. He saw how the US became a powerful nation because of this. He tried to do the same! He became a clone of America. He was nurtured by America not so long ago as was Osama. Therefore, it is America that is fully responsible for the horrors of our world. They were the leaders in this game. With the US propping up Musharraf, they are fast creating another ?demonic? character. India will be left alone to handle that one and we, despite the examples of the past and the scary record of the US, continue to be blind to that reality as we hang onto the US.

In the next phase, Bush will move from the Middle East to try and control, through his poodles, South Asia and its geo-politics. Our turn is not that far away. Remember, Kashmir looks out and beyond to the other oil rich, unexplored territories.
