Nucleus Software, a software products & services company dedicated to the banking and financial sector, is planning to expand its footprint in Latin America and Central Asia. The company, which gets around 50% of its revenue from Japan, has appointed five partners in five countries of Latin America and Central Asia and is actively scouting for deals.

Vishnu R Dusad, managing director, Nucleus Software, told FE that the IT firm is looking at both banking as well as non-banking finance companies for its lending suite of products under FinnOne. ?FinnOne has an allround appeal. However, our product suits like credit management may be difficult to implement in some countries as they may not understand it,? he said.

The company has appointed five partners in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Columbia and Peru. ?The market in these countries is pretty sizeable for us to continue our investments for a year or two so that we can leverage it over the next five to 10 years,? said Dusad. However, he said that the company will not open any new delivery centres to service the new geographies. It has 10 existing facilities with four of them in India.

The company, which reported revenues of Rs 85.81 crore for the quarter ending March 2008, gets half of its revenues from the Japan.
