Hero Honda not to raise bike prices in 2008

Hero Honda Motors is not looking to raise prices of its bikes this calendar year, a top official said.

Hero Honda Motors has decided not to increase the prices of two-wheelers till the end of this year.

“We will not increase the prices of our vehicles till the end of this year,” Hero Honda Motors Chairman Brijmohan Lall Munjal said on the sidelines of an auto industry event in New Delhi.

Asked if the rising cost of raw materials will put pressure on the profit-margin of the company, he said, “I don’t think so. We will have to tighten our belts.”

The company has raised the prices of its two-wheelers twice in the last three months.
