It is unfortunate that the BK Chaturvedi panel report has run into stiff resistance from some powerful political quarters. The panel suggested some far-reaching proposals that have laid out a clear roadmap for the pricing of petroleum products. But the government is dragging its feet on implementing them, especially the one regarding a monthly hike in retail prices of petrol and diesel. The government should muster the courage and translate the report into policies.

The article (?Apple or lemon?? Aug 22) has brought to the fore the harm the grey market does. It just shows how countries like China gives a short shrift to IPRs.
