The much-awaited common platform for the Indian mutual fund industry is in place and will be functional within next few months, which will be beneficial for the retail investors. AP Kurian, chairman of Association of Mutual Funds in India said, ?We are ready with the technical design of the common platform which would enable investors, distributors and registrar and transfer agents to access and transact in products of all fund houses. Apart from that, recently we have received approval from the Centre for exempting PAN from systematic investment plan upto Rs 50,000.?
