After emerging into political arena, the Telugu celluloid super star Chiranjeevi, is launching his political party from Avilala Cheruvu ground in Tirupati on Tuesday. The actor-turned-politician has announced his political entry on his 53rd birthday on August 22, in Hyderabad.
Chewing over the political entry for about four years, with the run away success of his two movies?Indra and Tagore?focusing on the corruption in administration and political violence, he furthered his urge to switch over to politics on the lines of his predecessor late NT Rama Rao, who founded TDP and secured power in just nine months.
According to political analysts, if Chiranjeevi could capture votes from his community (Kapu), representing 22% in the state, his winning elections would be certain. Interestingly, both the Kapu leaders Harirama Jogaiah of Congress and Vidyadhar Rao of TDP have already joined Chiranjeevi and many more leaders are said to be in the wings waiting for his formal launch of the party and agenda. ??We see an exodus of leaders from Congress and TDP joining the new party, once Chiranjeevi starts his campaign,?? analysts say.
