Around 10.52 lakh tonne wheat has arrived in the mandis of Haryana during the current rabi season up to April 8.

While giving this information a spokesman of Haryana food and supplies department said that out of the total, 10.51 lakh tonne of wheat was procured by the government procuring agencies while only 47 metric tonne wheat was procured by the traders during current rabi season.

Enumerating the wheat procurement, he said that 2.37 lakh tonne of wheat was procured by food and supplies department, 3.19 lakh tonne by Hafed, 2.42 lakh tonne by Food Corporation of India (FCI), 55,292 metric tonne by Haryana Agro Industries Corporation, 99,397 metric tonne by Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 97,014 metric tonne by Confed.

While giving details, he said district Palwal was leading where 1,97,013 metric tonne of wheat arrived in mandis followed by Karnal with 1,70,759 metric tonne.
