Punjab Kings, a team that has struggled in the IPL for nearly a decade, have recently signed former DC coach Ricky Ponting to help them improve their chances. The Kings have retained two uncapped players, Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh, and spent 112 crores on Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh, and Yuzvendra Chahal. The additions of Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Marco Jansen, and Azmatullah Omarzai have strengthened the all-round department. The team also made smart purchases in terms of Indian talent, including Nehal Wadhera, Vyshak Vijaykumar, and Yash Thakur. The team also has a strong foreign department with Lockie Ferguson, Josh Inglis, Aaron Hardie, and Xavier Bartlett.
