India will share with Islamabad details about the Samjhauta Express blast probe if there are any to share, Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao said here on Sunday, hours ahead of her meeting with Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir on the sidelines of a Saarc foreign secretaries? conference in Thimpu.

?We have already said an investigation is going on in Samjhauta blast,? Rao said. ?…it was an act of terrorism, there is no doubt about it and when we are ready to share evidence with Pakistan, we will do it.?

Rao?s statement comes a day after the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said India seemed to be ?lacking courage to unearth the culpability of Hindu extremists in the blast and their links with some Indian Army personnel?.

Bashir, on his part, refused to comment on the statement. ?We would not like to make any specific comment… Why do you want to pick up one issue? There are plenty of issues to be looked at,? he said.

On her meeting with Bashir later in the evening, Rao said: ?We are going into this round of talks with an open mind and constructive attitude and I believe my Pakistani counterpart will also have a number of ideas… This round of talks is going to be exploratory in nature and we hope through this process we can find a way forward.?

Sunday night?s meeting is the first between the two sides after the failed talks during Foreign Minister S M Krishna?s visit to Islamabad in July last year.
