Xiaomi has teased to launch a new smartphone that will sport a Rose Gold colour in India. According to the image teaser posted by Redmi India, the company will launch a Rose Gold smartphone on Thursday, February 1. While Xiaomi has not revealed whether this Rose Gold smartphone will be a new smartphone or just a colour variant of one of the existing devices, it has been confirmed that the Xiaomi Redmi 5A Rose Gold colour variant will be launched. Flipkart has listed the new Rose Gold colour variant of Xiaomi Redmi 5A on its website. The price of the handset is not known as of now.
As we said, the image teaser posted by Redmi India has a poem that reads,
“A little rose, a little gold,
Something we haven’t yet told.
A phone that you love to the core,
Stay tuned to know more!”
Along with this poem teaser, Redmi India wrote on Twitter“I’m beautiful. I’m powerful. I’m everyone’s choice. Guess who am I? Watch this space tomorrow.” While these teasers don’t reveal the name of the smartphone, Flipkart listing has confirmed that the Xiaomi Redmi 5A will be launched in Rose Gold colour.
Xiaomi to commemorate the Valentine’s Day, which is just a couple weeks away, is launching the Redmi 5A Rose Gold colour variant. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A was launched as ‘Desh ka Smartphone’ last year in November in Dark Grey, Champagne Gold, and Rose Gold colours, however, only the first two colour variants are available to purchase on Flipkart and Mi.com. The handset comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, 2GB or 3GB of RAM along with 16B or 32GB of inbuilt memory. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and PDAF, while there is a 5-megapixel front camera that comes with face recognition feature. It packs a 3000mAh battery under the hood.
