Royal family of England remembers Indian soldiers among World War I martyrs, see pics

July 31 marked the 100th anniversary of the bloodiest battles of World War I, the Battle of Passchendaele. Indian soldiers who fought as part of the British Army during the Raj in the year 1917 were among thousands of martyrs who were remembered at the special event. The battle took place between July and November 1917 and led to nearly 250,000 casualties on both sides – the Allied Forces fighting the German Army. Britain’s Prince Charles along with the members of the royal family alongside British PM Theresa May attended the events. Here are some pictures from the event.
