Fan box office collections: Shahrukh Khan has gradually seen his latest movie fall from the heights on release day of Rs 19.20 crore to a low of Rs 2.65 crore (on Saturday, day 9). While the opening day itself was not great, by SRK standards, the big shock was that the subsequesnt opening weekend could not surpass even the Friday figures. As things stand now, with Fan well into its second weekend, the movie managed a take of just Rs 3.40 crore on Day 10 (Sunday). This has taken the India collection total to Rs 79.25 crore, while the gross approximate figure here is Rs 113.21 crore. With the foreign collection added, the overall amount rises as high as Rs 174.29 cr. Surely, with even a megastar like Shahrukh Khan not being able to draw the crowds to theatres, Bollywood as an industry must be worried about how well the subsequent weeks will pan out for other new releases slated to hit theatres. Just blaminng IPL cricket or content of SRK movie may not be enough to provide substantial answers. (Bollywood Hungama) (Image: IE)
