Fan box office collections: The latest Shahrukh Khan movie was released on April 15, but opened to a mixed response and that meant the overall performance of the film at the B.O. was not really as expected. This was a surprise as Fan received great critical acclaim, from almost all quarters, but movie goers did not really come to theatres in any great numbers. This was disappointing, but the biggest surprise was that Fan box office collections inked a first for Shahrukh Khan, in a negative way – this is the first movie since My Name is Khan in 2010 that did not enter the prestigious and hugely important Rs 100 crore club. The worse reason for SRK was that he did not get the word-of-mouth boost – those who saw the movie did not say it was great to their kin and friends, thereby limiting the push-factor for Fan. Fan box office collections: While Shahrukh Khan's entry into the Rs 100 crore club started with Ra.One, the actor's subsequent releases too went on to attain this much coveted benchmark. The overall business of Fan has shown a substantial decline in its second weekend too. In fact, while the first weekend recorded collections of Rs 52.35 cr, the second weekend was a meagre Rs 7.75 cr, a decline of 85.20% in business which is alarming.

Fan box office collections: And the plunge being precipitous, there is no chance that Fan box office collections wil conjure up some kind of magic and do a U-turn for Shahrukh Khan. And this is despite the fact that there is hardly any competition from rivals in theatres.
