Xiaomi will unveil its highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 series in China on October 29, 2024, at 7 PM local time (4:30 PM IST). This new flagship lineup will feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, making it the first flagship phone series to incorporate this powerful chipset.
As the successor to the Xiaomi 14 series, the Xiaomi 15 lineup is expected to include two models: the standard Xiaomi 15 and the more advanced Xiaomi 15 Pro. The promotional materials hint at a strong emphasis on camera capabilities, with the tagline “see every light,” indicating enhanced photography features that could attract photography enthusiasts and everyday users alike.
Recent leaks and rumours have provided insights into the specifications of the Xiaomi 15 series. The standard Xiaomi 15 is said to feature a 6.46-inch 1.2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, promising vibrant colours and smooth scrolling. The Pro model may offer a slightly larger screen, enhancing the viewing experience for multimedia consumption and gaming.
Both models are rumoured to sport Leica-powered sensors, renowned for their quality. The camera setup is expected to include a 50MP primary lens, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto shooter.
