Samsung is gearing up to host its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event today, where it’s widely expected to introduce its next-generation foldable smartphones—the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Tipster Yogesh Brar has hinted at a steep price surge for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 in India, which could surprise potential buyers. In a recent post on X, he revealed that the device may carry a price tag between Rs 1,75,000 and Rs 1,79,000.
This marks a notable jump from the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which launched at Rs 1,49,999. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time talk of a price increase has surfaced—similar reports previously emerged regarding the French market.
In Italy, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to launch at EUR 2,227.71 (approximately Rs 2,23,000) for the 256GB model, while the 512GB variant may retail for EUR 2,309.03 (around Rs 2,31,100).
As for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the 512GB version is likely to be priced at EUR 1,425.51, which converts to roughly Rs 1,43,000.

Leaks and speculation surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 suggest notable design refinements this year. The device is rumored to be the slimmest foldable yet, reportedly measuring just 3.9mm when open and 8.9mm when folded.
Sources also indicate a revamped camera lens protector design, although there’s no confirmation of any upgrades to the camera hardware itself. The Z Fold 7 is expected to feature a 6.5-inch external screen along with an 8-inch internal display, hinting at a slightly larger overall footprint.
Earlier pricing leaks also revealed that the device may be offered in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage configurations—mirroring the storage variants of its predecessor.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 specifications:
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is anticipated to run on the Exynos 2500 chipset, though select markets might receive a variant powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy (also known as Snapdragon 8 Elite). The device is likely to offer 12GB of RAM and storage options going up to 512GB.
In terms of photography, the camera setup is expected to remain largely unchanged, featuring a 50MP primary sensor alongside a 12MP ultra-wide lens. Additionally, the foldable could pack a larger 4,300mAh battery, with improvements in charging speed also on the cards.
