OnePlus today launched the flagship OnePlus 13 in China. It’s now the world’s third smartphone to come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite after the Xiaomi 15, 15 Pro, and iQOO 13. Although not explicitly confirmed, the OnePlus 13 should make its way to India sometime this year, or perhaps early next year. The timeline is a bit hard to predict since its China launch is also happening a bit earlier than usual.
OnePlus 13: Design
The OnePlus 13 comes in three colours as previously confirmed by OnePlus itself. In addition to the commonplace white and black, OnePlus has made a new blue shade which appears to be the hero option for this year. This variant has a faux leather back panel while the black and white have matte glass. Like the iQOO 13, the OnePlus 13 also has IP69+IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The chassis has been redesigned to be flatter, much like the newer iPhones. The Oreo-style camera assembly is now standalone—not part of the frame like the OnePlus 12 and 11—and a vertical strip runs through it. The Hasselblad logo is out of the arrangement, too, placed right above the strip. The alert slider is sticking around.
OnePlus 13: Specs features
On the front, the OnePlus 13 has a 6.82-inch 2K (1440p) BOE LTPO AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits of peak HDR brightness (1,600 nits in high brightness mode). The panel can playback Dolby Vision content.
On the inside, it has the Snapdragon 8 Elite. RAM can go up to 24GB (LPDDR5x) and storage up to 1TB (UFS4.0). Running the show is Oppo’s ColorOS 15 based on Android 15.
For photography, the OnePlus 13 has a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel LYT-808 main sensor behind an f/1.6 optically stabilised lend, one more 50-megapixel ultra-wide and another 50-megapixel 3x telephoto with OIS. The front camera is 32MP.
Powering the OnePlus 13 is a massive 6,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support. Biometrics are handled by an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
OnePlus 13: Price, availability
The OnePlus 13 comes in a choice of 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB and 24GB/1TB at a price of CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs 53,200), CNY 4,899 (roughly Rs 58,000), CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs 62,600), and CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs 71,000). The OnePlus 13 is launching first in China.
