What MS Dhoni has to say about Insta!

“I prefer Instagram over Twitter. Twitter, I believe that nothing good has happened over Twitter. Especially in India, there is always a controversy. Somebody will write something, and it turns into a controversy,”  Dhoni explains.

Furthermore, “I was like, why do I need to be there? It used to be 140 characters. You cannot elaborate. Imagine me putting something over there, and then it is left up to the people to read it, and they just interpret what they want to interpret,” Dhoni highlighted.

On Monday, in a video posted on Dubai Eye 103.8’s YouTube channel, Dhoni explained why he chooses a lifestyle with minimal presence on social media especially on X (formerly Twitter).

A ‘minimal’ social media presence!

Netizens report that MS Dhoni was never a social media person like the other Indian cricketers or sportspersons. From what it looks like , the former India captain was never that active on social media. Although he has an account on X, and Instagram, it’s very rare when he gives an update on his life.

From what it is understood, the word limit on Twitter without any subscription is what that can turn it into a controversial platform. This makes a person constrict one’s message and misunderstandings emerge from there.

Dhoni explained  the matter perfectly and mentioned that he doesn’t want to be in the vicinity of controversy. “So, I am like no-no that is not for me. Instagram, I still like it because I could put up a picture or a video and just leave it. That is also changing now. I still prefer Instagram, but not active on it because I feel fewer distractions are better. But in-between, on and off, I would put something for the fans so that they know this is where I am. Somewhere good, in good hands, doing what I like,” Dhoni explains further.
