Apple is gearing up to unveil its next wave of smartphones—the iPhone 17 lineup—set to debut in 2025. This new generation is expected to include four distinct models: the standard iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Pro, the iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a fresh addition called the iPhone 17 “Air.” Notably absent from this lineup is the iPhone 17 Plus, as Apple has reportedly discontinued the “Plus” variant due to lukewarm consumer interest. While the iPhone 17 Air offers a more compact design, it is not intended to serve as a direct successor to the Plus model.
iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max Colour Options:
Apple is reportedly experimenting with fresh purple and green shades for the standard iPhone 17 model. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to launch in a new Sky Blue finish, mirroring the hue introduced with the M4 MacBook Air lineup earlier this year, according to tipster Majin Bu. Unlike previous versions, the iPhone 17 Pro is rumored to ditch the titanium frame in favor of aluminum. Additionally, the rear panel may feature a redesigned hybrid construction combining both aluminum and glass elements.
According to a new leak, the iPhone 17 color range will be boosted by either purple or green. https://t.co/rjFDQbhhR7

iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max Display Sizes:
Apple is expected to bump up the screen size for the iPhone 17, increasing it from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches. This adjustment will bring it in line with both the iPhone 16 Pro and the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro, which are also set to feature 6.3-inch displays. With the discontinuation of the Plus variant, the iPhone 17 will stand as the sole budget-friendly option in the lineup. As for the rest of the series, display sizes will include 6.3 inches for both the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro, 6.6 inches for the newly introduced iPhone 17 Air, and a larger 6.9 inches for the top-tier iPhone 17 Pro Max.
iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max Price:
The upcoming iPhone 17 Air is likely to carry a price tag of $899, matching the current cost of the iPhone 16 Plus. This would position the iPhone 17 Air between the standard iPhone 17 and the higher-end iPhone 17 Pro in terms of pricing. The base iPhone 17 is anticipated to launch at $799, while the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to start at $999. However, there could be an overall increase in pricing across the iPhone 17 lineup, as Apple faces rising production expenses driven by escalating tariffs on components.
