Honor X9b is set to launch officially on India. The Honor X series smartphone will make its India debut today, i.e. on February 15 at 12:30 PM local time. HTech, the Madhav Sheth led VC behind Honor, is also gearing to expand its portfolio beyond smartphones. And so, joining the Honor X9b will be two other AIoT devices, Honor Choice earbuds X5 and Honor Choice Watch.

The Honor X9b along with Honor Choice earbuds X5 and Honor Choice Watch will be launched today at 12:30 PM (IST). It will also be available to watch on @exploreHONOR brand handles across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and Amazon Live.

The key USP of the Honor X9b will be its “ultra-bounce display” that is apparently so strong and durable, you might not need to apply a tempered glass on it, or at least that is what HTech’s product marketing team will have you believe. To offer a 360-degree protection, HTech has also announced “Honor Protect”, a mobile protection plan in partnership with device-care provider OnsiteGo that bundles services worth Rs 2,999 with the Honor X9b. These include a one-time screen replacement within 6 months along with a 30-day assured buy back option up to 90 percent, completely free of charge.
Spec-wise, the Honor X9b will have a has a 6.78-inch 120Hz curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and up to 1,200nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and a 5,800mAh battery with 35W fast charging. Running the show will be Honor’s MagicOS 7.2 software based on Android 13. For photography, it will have a 108-megapixel primary camera, paired to an 8MP ultrawide and another 2MP macro. On the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera.
Honor Choice earbuds X5: Specs, features
Honor Choice Earbuds X5 will complement the X-series (Honor X90, Honor X9b) and focus on providing a “balanced and premium quality audio experience,” according to HTech. The company is touting “cutting-edge 30dB ANC algorithms” and up to 35-hours of battery life (presumably with the case). They’ll also mark the debut of Honor’s AI space companion app.
Honor Choice Watch: Specs, features
Honor Choice Watch will similarly debut the Honor Health app which will come bundled with it. Spec-wise, it will come with a 1.95-inch AMOLED display and up to 12 days of battery life “under typical use.” It will have GPS built in along with Bluetooth calling support. The smartwatch will support 120 workout modes. Honor Choice Watch will be 5ATM certified.
