Google took wraps off its Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro a month ago, on October 4 at the annual Made by Google event. The highlight of the event was been Pixel 8 Pro mainly due to its exclusive AI features and other capabilities.
The sales for Google Pixel 8 series began on October 12 with Pixel 8 priced at Rs 75,999 and Pixel 8 Pro priced at Rs 1,06,999. While the Pixel 8 came in two storage variants, 128GB and 256GB; the Pixel 8 Pro came in the sole 128GB variant. However, now Google has made the Pixel 8 Pro 256GB variant available on the e-commerce platform Flipkart.
Pixel 8 Pro sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1-120Hz and peak brightness up to 2,400nits with a punch-hole notch which hosts the front 10.5MP camera. Under the hood, the phone packs a 4nm-built Tensor G3 processor along with 12GB RAM and two storage variants: 128GB and 256GB in India.
In terms of camera, the phone features a triple camera setup on the rear side: a 50MP primary lens, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens. The highlight of the Pixel 8 series is 7 years of major OS upgrades, along with security and feature drops. Notably, the powerhouse is a 5,050mAh battery with support for 30W wired and 23W wireless charging.

It is available in three colours: Obsidian, Porcelain, and Bay, and comes in four storage variants for up to 1TB. However, only 128GB and 256GB variants are available in India.
Moreover, Google also announced that the company will release India-made Pixel phones next year.
