Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills neighbourhood has always been synonymous with luxury and opulence. Standing tall amidst its leafy lanes is the magnificent villa of Telugu superstar Ram Charan, his wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela, and veteran actor Chiranjeevi. Recently, Upasana, who is Vice Chairperson of CSR at Apollo Hospitals, welcomed Curly Tales into their massive 25,000-square-foot home for a rare glimpse for fans. Here’s a virtual tour of Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni Konidela’s Hyderabad home.

Inside Ram Charan and Upasana’s Hyderabad home

Surrounded by carefully manicured gardens and soft creeper-lined walls, the white exterior of the house stands out with its glass-lined accents that will remind you of a modern-day palace. Despite being located in the heart of the bustling city, the home radiates tranquility, with every corner reflecting the couple’s love for nature. Their outdoor patio is fitted with plush furniture and is the perfect spot for breezy evenings over tea. Their covered and concealed garage mixes with the landscape, offering an elegant look.

Inside the home

Inside, the home is designed in a way to create a fine balance between heritage and modernity. The living room is an ode to traditional South Indian homes, where the upholstered seating in earthy tones goes perfectly with black-and-white chessboard flooring. The long vintage windows let the sunlight in, creating shifting patterns of light and shadow in the space, adding some warmth. The interiors are done up with antique wooden artifacts, heritage lamps, and cultural accents sourced from around the world. A striking black horse sculpture is the centre of attention in the living area, surrounded by lush indoor plants and collectibles from the couple’s travels.

Upasana also offered glimpses into their personal rituals, opening up about Ram Charan’s food habits. “We used to go to the best restaurants in the world, and then he would come back and say, ‘Okay, now, I need Indian food, where are we going to find Indian food?’” she shared, adding that her husband’s meals are incomplete without South Indian delicacies. .

The dining room, described by Upasana as “the happiest part of the house,” is the centre stage for family meals and festive gatherings. Beneath a grand chandelier, there is a large dining table paired with designed printed menus. This is because of Upasana’s passion for hosting. French doors and expansive windows fill up the space with natural light, creating an inviting ambience ideal for intimate gatherings.

A resort-like home

Designed by Tahilini Homes, Ram Charan and Upsaana’s home is more than just a house, it is nothing short of an immersive retreat. From a home theater and private study to an in-house swimming pool and a fully equipped gym, every element has a touch of modern luxury. There are large balconies that open into landscaped gardens, along with a serene puja room and tennis court. With marble inlays, high-end furnishing, and neutral colour palettes complemented by opulent chandeliers, the interiors remind you of a private resort.

For Upasana, the essence of their Hyderabad home is in its ability to transform everyday living into a celebration. “For me, home is a holiday,” she said during the home tour.
