Founder and former CEO of Google, Larry Page ranks as the second richest person in the world, as per Forbes. With a $258 billion net worth, Page stepped down as the CEO of Alphabet, Google’s parent company, in 2019. While he remains a share-holding board member, he continues his stint as a clean energy advocate.

Larry Page, often away from the limelight, has avoided public appearances and has led a private life. While few details remain confirmed, several reports suggest that he has long been in Palo Alta, California. His home, unlike any other, is built solely on eco-friendly principles, solar and geothermal-equipped facilities. However, the tech billionaire is also known to have some exquisitely private and luxurious real estate holdings to himself.

The 36-acre Eustatia Island: Private beaches, hiking trails, and hilltop home

Located on the hilly island in Eustatia Sound, just north of Virgin Gorda, Larry Page’s estate is part of the British Virgin Islands. The Eustatia Island is just 40 miles east of the $23 million Lollik Islands. However, the billionaire has not officially acknowledged his ownership of the island, but a legal dispute led to speculations, reportedly making him the beneficiary of the island.

The private estate houses several villas and a hilltop home. Featuring a swanky infinity pool, the beach villas are set neatly in a coconut palm grove. There are several additional cottages which amount to nearly 9-11 bedrooms and can typically host nearly 14-22 guests. In addition to the lavish property, it also has in-house private chefs, tailored menus, daily housekeeping and gym access.

Apart from these environmentally charged luxurious indulgences, the island has three white-sand beaches and private hiking trails. With a breathtaking mountaintop pavilion, there are several viewing decks to take in the scenic landscape. As per a Business Insider report, the island was also reportedly used for Page’s now-defunct company, Kittyhawk. It aimed to develop a flying car and used the island as a testing ground.

The property is also self-sufficient and off the grid. Powered by a large solar power system, the alternate energy supplies most of the electricity on the island. The clean energy aligns with the sustainability goals of Page and is just of his reported big property indulgences since he stepped down as Google CEO. In 2020, Page added another island to his portfolio, the heart-shaped Tavarua Island in Fiji, open for commercial use.
