The recent Food Connoisseur India Convention 2024, held at the NESCO Centre in Mumbai on February 12th, showcased the brilliance of one such culinary artist — the celebrated Chef Aanal Kotak, the brains behind the gourmet food brand, The Secret Kitchen (TSK).
Chef Aanal Kotak, renowned for her innovative approach to flavours, not only participated in the convention as an exhibitor but also co-powered the event. As a partner and exhibitor, she illuminated the culinary extravaganza with the distinctive offerings of TSK. The convention drew industry titans from mid-to-high-end restaurants, dining chains, hotels, and bars, creating a dynamic space for culinary exploration. Organized by Industry Live and supported by the FHRAI, the event featured over eight thousand nominations, with 180 deserving recipients clinching awards.
The Secret Kitchen, Chef Aanal Kotak’s beloved restaurant chain, actively participated in the exhibition, attracting thousands of visitors eager to savour their flavourful delicacies. This marked a transformative journey for Chef Aanal, transitioning from being a nominee in previous years to serving as a jury member for this edition of FCIC. Reflecting on this journey, she expressed, “From waiting nervously as a nominee to now bestowing awards as a jury member, it’s humbling to witness others’ talent and passion and celebrate their achievements.”
Not only did Chef Aanal Kotak lend her expertise as a jury member, but she also took the stage as a speaker, sharing her profound knowledge of ready-made foods. As an eminent speaker, she emphasized the significance of culinary innovations, ranging from frozen items to ready-to-mix gravies, in saving time and enhancing the overall customer experience. Aanal expressed her excitement about partnering with the Food Connoisseur India Convention, stating, “It is always a wonderful experience.”
Chef Aanal Kotak is no stranger to the limelight, known for her TV show ‘The Rasoi Show’ and for authoring the book ‘Secrets of a Professional Kitchen.’ The Secret Kitchen, founded in 2017, stands as a culinary trailblazer, blending innovation and tradition. TSK Hospitality, an extension of her brand, offers a premium range of ready-to-cook gravies, sweets, masalas, baking pre-mixes, and frozen products. While The Secret Kitchen is thriving in Australia and its Indian outlets, Chef Aanal Kotak has ambitious expansion plans. The chain is set to venture into Canada and Dubai, bringing its delectable offerings to new international markets. Additionally, TSK’s HORECA and retail products will soon be available in New Zealand, Dubai, and the US. As the new year unfolds, Chef Aanal Kotak’s blazing entry into the Food Connoisseur India Convention marks a significant milestone, solidifying TSK’s reputation as a premium gourmet Indian brand.
