Global energy management and automation company Schneider Electric has inaugurated one of its largest employee campuses globally at Bagmane Solarium City in Bengaluru. The state-of-the-art campus, built through an investment of Rs 200 crore, spans approximately 630,000 sq ft and features a global innovation hub, training centre, R&D centre, skill centre and digital hub, with a capacity to accommodate over 8,000 professionals.

The innovation hub will integrate Schneider’s offerings across automation, electrification and digitisation. The training Centre will conduct workshops and sessions on new technologies. The R&D centre will focus on developing new products and solutions. The skill centre will provide technical training to enhance workforce capabilities. The digital hub will drive digital transformation initiatives.

The campus design incorporates off-site green power, energy-efficient chillers and 100% greywater reuse through a sewage treatment plant. It has applied for LEED Gold certification, while the interior aims for a LEED Platinum rating.

Peter Herweck, chief executive officer at Schneider Electric, stated that the new investment underscores the company’s dedication to accelerating its contribution to India’s rapid growth and its belief in India’s potential as a springboard for innovative ideas benefitting local customers while making a global impact.

Deepak Sharma, zone president – Greater India, MD & CEO of Schneider Electric India, said that the new employee campus goes beyond being just a workplace, exemplifying the creation of a dynamic ecosystem aimed at fostering collaboration and igniting creativity across the entire energy sector value chain.
