VREC Dash Camera Series Features and Details

These dash cameras assist in recording high-quality wide-angle video footage of the road ahead, and behind, providing round-the-clock protection while driving or parked, and providing crucial evidence needed in the event of impacts or accidents. They also assist in protecting against insurance fraud, by helping monitor driving behaviour by post-analysis of the recorded footage. In addition to making it easier while driving and when parked, they also help in capturing memorable moments during drives. All the models support features such as parking monitoring, continuous loop recording, and automatic recording of impact events such as strong vibrations or sudden jolts.

VREC-Z820DC is a premium dual-channel model with 4K video resolution, AI-based night vision, wide display and ADAS features. It features a rear camera and GPS logger and can record continuous videos in loop.

VREC-H520DC is a high-end model with a 7.6 cm IPS display, Sony Starvis-2 image sensor, and 2K recording capabilities. It can record clear videos under night light conditions and has 360o rotation for road monitoring.

VREC-H320SC is a mid-range model with a 7.6 cm IPS display and Full HD recording capability, while the VREC-H120SC is an extremely compact and affordable offering with crystal-clear recording in 1296p. It supports 128 GB of external storage.

Users can access their dash cameras via Pioneer’s user-friendly mobile app, which provides a simple yet comprehensive user experience.  The app allows users to connect the dash camera over the camera’s Wi-Fi network, browse and watch recorded videos, and create travelogues.  Users can also change dash camera settings through the app.

Siva Subramanian, CEO of the newly formed Mobility AI & Connectivity Division, Pioneer Corporation, Japan, highlighted the significance of the new portfolio launch, stating, “This is the first of many innovations to come from our Advanced R&D centre which we established in India last year, aimed at developing products specifically for the Indian markets.  Not only are Indians buying cars at a fast pace, but they are also demanding more from their cars.  With the rapid growth of Indian road infrastructure and the automotive market, the need for automotive safety and security is only going to increase.  We will bring these dash cameras to the Indian consumer through our pan-India distributor network, with an impressive reach of 3000+ retail outlets and car dealerships across India.”

Aniket Kulkarni, Managing Director of Pioneer India commented, “We are diligently focused on creating new mobility experiences, surpassing customers’ expectations regarding quality and performance. Pioneer’s R&D team is working with Indian and global automotive OEMs on advanced mobility and infotainment solutions.  Earlier in August ’23, the organisation initiated an Advanced R&D centre in Gurugram and Bengaluru focused on innovations and products for the Indian as well as global markets.  The dashboard camera market in India is expected to grow at an exponential rate of 15 -16% from 2024 to 2030.  Our new smart dash camera portfolio is aimed at capturing a significant share of this growth”
