Hyundai has become the first automobile company to create an environment friendly for the differently abled. In line with its global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’, Hyundai India launched the ‘Samarth’ initiative for the awareness and enablement of people with disabilities in India. Through this initiative, Hyundai will create an ecosystem that needs the requirements of differently-abled dealerships and service networks. With over 26.8 million differently-abled people in India, Hyundai will partner with NGOs and media networks to help create a more aware and sensitized society towards people with disabilities in India. With technology, partnerships, product innovations, and storytelling, ‘Samarth’ aims to turn the world into a level-playing field for all.
Taking customer relationships to a different level
Hyundai India plans to revamp all its dealerships and workshops to be wheelchair accessible for differently abled by February 2024. Apart from this, the South Korean manufacturer will make its website more accessible and user-friendly for people with disabilities.
Customised accessories
With Hyundai’s commitment to ensure a safe, comfortable and convenient experience for all its customers, the company is developing and introducing Swivel Seats and accessories with MOBIS in an attempt to enhance the differently-abled friendliness of the cars.
