Fasmho Energy, an EV battery management technology startup has announced a partnership with Cyantron Synergies, a start-up focussing on advanced battery packs to develop high voltage battery technology for electric cars, buses, material handling equipment and trucks.

The partners state that will jointly develop and manufacture high voltage battery systems estimated worth over $180 million (Rs 1,500 crore) out of which, intelligent battery management units (BMUs) supplied by Fasmho are expected to be valued at over $10 million (Rs 83 crore).

The collaboration they claim underscores the importance and the opportunity to develop safe and efficient BMUs to optimise battery performance and safety in India, where homegrown reliable solutions are scarce.

As a result of the collaboration, Fasmho and Cyantron will co-develop and produce over 32,000 units of custom-designed, high-voltage intelligent Battery Systems over the next 3-years.

Drawing upon Fasmho Energy’s specialised expertise in battery intelligence and Cyantron Synergies’ proficiency in the design and manufacturing of advanced chemistry cells and battery packs, the partners aim to become formidable suppliers of globally benchmarked energy storage solutions to Indian EV manufacturers.

Abdul Azeez Khan, CEO, Fasmho Energy said, “India is currently witnessing an EV revolution with towns and cities placing record orders for clean and energy efficient electric public buses and other large vehicles. Supported by our robust manufacturing ecosystem, OEMs are choosing to Make in India and we are excited to partner with Cyantron Synergies to develop and produce advanced and intelligent integrated energy storage solutions for high voltage use cases. Be it manufacturing of electric buses or trucks, our solution will be a shot in the arm for manufacturers in India by reducing import reliance of such critical components.”

At present, Fasmho Energy provides solutions in low voltage BMS category and the new partnership with Fasmho Energy will help it expand into the high voltage BMS segment. They are also backed by iCreate, a leading Technology Business Incubator.

Mohammed UbeduddinIn, Director, Cyantron Synergies said, “In our journey supporting hundreds of clients in the EV domain, we noticed a critical gap in reliable electrical monitoring for Advanced Chemistry Energy Storage Solutions. Our solution integrates intelligent algorithms seamlessly into the EV ecosystem, ensuring real-time issue resolution. Cyantron, expanding from Cell Design to Cell Manufacturing and Battery Pack Assemblies, aims to be the ultimate solution provider. Through our strategic partnership with Fasmho Energy, we aim to deliver a robust and intelligent energy storage solution for EVs and advance our vision for a greener future.”
