Kratos Studios, owner of the IndiGG IP, has announced the ‘Kratos Games Network’ program which will allocate a grant of Rs 50 crore towards gaming studios. From what it’s understood, the company aims to target the first 10-15 studios by March, 2024.

According to an official release, the ‘Kratos Games Network’ will extend the grant to Web2.0 gaming development studios and will transition their games to blockchain gaming. Reportedly, the shortlisted gaming studios will get the benefit of the Kratos proprietary blockchain tech stack giving them access to a seemingly 10 lakh user base of the on-chain global gamer community. It’s believed that the integration of blockchain will enable these studios to monetise and build revenue for developers and gamers.

Sources suggest that the selection process will focus on factors based on profitability spanning two to three years, game studios with a minimum daily active user count of 500,000. The Kratos Games Network is expected to offer benefits, including access to gamer communities. Being a part of Kratos Games Network, the partner developers can also have an economic value-sharing model with their gamers.

“This initiative should bring high quality games and hence more gamers to blockchain gaming,” Manish Agarwal, founder, Kratos Studios, stated.
