The first human patient implanted with Neuralink’s brain-computer device is “recovering well,” according to Elon Musk, owner, Neuralink, stated Cointelegraph.

With insights from a tweet on January 29, 2024, Musk mentioned the person successfully received the implant on Sunday, January 28, 2024. He added that the initial results showed “promising neuron spike detection.”

Neuralink’s brain implant aims to assist those with debilitating injuries or paralysis to interact with a phone or computer just by thinking, Musk said, noting that the first product from Neuralink is called Telepathy.

Furthermore, Musk explained that “Imagine if Stephen Hawking could communicate faster than a speed typist or auctioneer. That is the goal,” Cointelegraph ended.
