Namaste Ayodhya! Ola starts operations at Ayodhya airport; CEO Bhavish Aggarwal aims to serve one billion people

Ola has launched its operations at Ayodhya airport on Monday, April 22, in order to help visitors and guarantee a hassle free trip to Lord Rama’s  birthplace. 

The announcement was made by CEO of the company, Bhavish Aggarwal, through his social media account X, formerly known as Twitter. 

Aggarwal in his tweet wrote “Namaste Ayodhya! Thrilled to launch @olacabsoperations at Ayodhya Airport! Ram Nagri Ayodhya is the fastest growing cultural, tourist hub in India, welcoming millions of tourists annually. Hope to help make this spiritual journey for us Indians more convenient and accessible!”

In order to offer an effortless cab facility in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya, the company has added a dedicated pick-up point at the airport, apart from a team of representatives’ 24X7 presence to assist the customers. 

Ola’s growth trajectory

As per the reports, the company’s profit increased by Rs. 66 crores to Rs. 250 crore in FY23. Additionally, there is a 58% increase in the company’s revenue as well. In FY22, Ola accounted for a revenue of Rs. 1,350 crore, which further increased to Rs. 2,135 crore in FY23.

It is anticipated that this initiative will open up growth prospects for Ola and will improve transportation for tourists or devotees. Further, it is to be noted that the announcement aligns with the company’s objective of serving one billion people in India.
