Rajinikanth Kabali movie release date is on July 22, but well before that, the movie is hogging the limelight due to a number of reasons, mostly having to do with the megastar's charisma. So, from fans reactions, to glitzy marketing, check out what made Kabali a newsmaker recently:
1. Rajinikanth starrer Kabali craze sweeps over fandom: There are still 5 days to go for Kabali release date to roll around and yet fans are already going crazy making preparations for the big day and most have targetted the first day first show (FDFS) to get all the bragging rights. Not just that, tickets are in high demand and those who have cornered chunks of them find themselves to be the centre of attention of their more lazy friends and acquaintances who delayed getting them on their own. So, for the friendly taxiwallah to the humble rickshaw-driver, all roads lead to cinemas that will put Kabali on show. In fact, many of these transport-men are promising free rides to Rajinikanth fans who will be going to watch the movie. On the other hand, from the affluent to the very poor, all of them have voiced their desire to watch the movie as soon as it releases. Now, that is the kind of helping hand mania one wishes every one suffered from! -
2. Ahead of Kabali release, Rajinikanth jets off to the US: Accompanied by his daughter Aishwarya, superstar Rajinikanth visited Yogaville (Satchidananda Ashram), Virginia. This was revealed by Aishwarya on Twitter: "Appa and I at his guru Satchidananda's Lotus all faiths temple" 30th anniversary Yogaville Virginia". Rajinikanth is expected to be back home on time for Kabali release and may well watch the last edited copy.

3. Rajinikanth's Kabali delivers a knock-out blow to pirates: Madras High Court has passed an order that prevents all ISPs from illegally downloading Rajinikanth-starrer 'Kabali'. This was in reaction to Kabali makers going to court as they feared the film may be leaked online before its release. This will go a long way in buttressing Kabali box office collections – the filmmakers are eyeing a huge repsonse from the public.

4. Rajinikanth, everywhere! After airlines, mugs, shirts and more, Rajinikanth's Kabali will be found in a new avatar – in the form of coins. Muthoot Capital has signed up with the superstar and the company will be rolling-out 999 pure silver coins with Rajinikanth's Kabali look embossed on its face. The silver coins are priced at Rs 350 (5 gm), Rs 700 (10 gm) and Rs 1,400 (20 gm). While bookings are open, these will be available after the release of the film.

5. Work@Kabali: At another level, one of the people who worked with Rajinikanth on Kabali movie, K.L. Praveen told Ians that the stint earned him a lot of respect and that he was at his most relaxed while he was working on the movie. Not that he was not nervous. He was very much stressed but after Rajinikanth himself comforted him, he relaxed and set about doing his work. He said, "I'm being called as 'Kabali' editor. It's very special because I never thought I'll get to work on his (Rajinikanth's) film." That he did a fantastic job is clear from the fact that his Kabali teaser, the first one, went viral and clocked over 25 million views on YouTube. He said, "'Kabali' is easily the most relaxed project I worked on in the last few months. When Rajini sir watched the first cut and appreciated each and every one of us, it boosted our morale".
