Amaravati design: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s new capital city Amaravati is rapidly shaping up. The nine themed regions of the city – Knowledge, Health, Electronics, Tourism, Justice, Media, Sports, Finance and Government will also comprise of Legislative and Secretariat complex. Most of the education institutes in the Knowledge city and several health institutes and hospitals in the Health city are being constructed with some institutes already catering to the people like the Vellore Institute of Technology which has taken in the first batch from July. The concept of building such a city is first in India and is built at a mammoth cost of Rs 59,000 crore. Designs of the buildings to be constructed in the Amaravati capital region were put on display at the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development on Friday. Design of High Court Complex: Inspiration of the structure is said to be derived from Buddhist architecture which is still in the planning stage. (Twitter/ANI) Design of Legislative Assembly: The tower will house the Assembly, a space for visitors and will also have a bird’s eye view of the entire capital region. The Assembly will also house a museum. (Twitter/ANI) Sci-fi inspired architecture: This structure is a modern take with inspirations from the 21st century and will also have a melange of mythical imaginations from the past that has drawn criticism for its unscientific and irrational approach.
