1) Expand income streams

Do not depend on one source of income. Branch out and invest. Find methods and sources where you can invest in real estate or infrastructure or maybe buy shares in a company. Rich people never depend on one source of income because if in case anything happens to that source, their entire earnings will be affected, so it is wise to have alternate sources to depend on for a rich future. 2) Always have a plan

Could you ever imagine Steve Jobs without a goal or a future to think about? While a few days are fine to sit back and relax, it is not wise to think you don’t need to have any goals and that things will come when the time is right. Write down your goals, predict the future you want. It is said that writing down attainable goals and needs helps to subconsciously get closer to achieving them than just keeping them in the back of the mind and pretending like things will just fall into place. Putting it on paper can actually make it happen! (Thinkstock)

3) Time is precious

We have this nasty habit of forgetting that time, once lost, is gone forever. While some of us waste it by watching television or taking up other such inane activities, but that is not they road to turning into a crorepati. Write books, read business strategies or work on new projects, that is the ticket to ride. (Thinkstock)

4) Look up to others and learn

Often we are self-satisfied, self-contained and arrogant and we feel no one can teach us what we want to learn, but that’s wrong. Instead seek mentors, learn things from them, every little bit counts. And, always keeps your mind alert and aware that there is so much to learn and grow! (Reuters)

5) Dreaming is for winners

Never give up on your dreams unless it involves you trying to fly off a 20-storey building. Dreaming is aiming towards a better future. A future you’re going to be happy with and being satisfied. Money follows the happy and you’re happy only when you’re willing to make your dreams work. The rich always follow their dreams no matter the hurdles, the failures and full stops. They keep going and you should do the same if you want to find out what success feels like! (Reuters)

6) Be persistent

Being persistent is the key. Persistent people always get what they want. How do you think that happens? They insist on the right kind of deals, they insist on plans that they are sure will work even if people tell them they are wrong. Being persistene is not arrogance; it is making sure your visions come true. It is a habit that reflects determination and it will go a long way in leading you down the path of success.(Reuters)

7) Track every small step taken

It is important to track your progress every step of the way. When you track your progress you know exactly where you have gone right and where you’re going wrong. When we tend to blindly move forward without learning from our mistakes, we tend to leak money and much more. Track your success and failures and the reasons for them and you’ll be closer to your goals than you know! (Reuters)

8) Surround yourself with success

It is tough, but you have to try and be in areas the successful people frequent. People who have achieved their goals at a young age and are still continuing to make it big have done so. Their enthusiasm will rub off onto you and will encourage you try harder and work better. They can subconsciously inspire you to strive for the best and achieve the best and perhaps even bag a deal, or three…! (Reuters)

9) Wake up early

This is a habit that has done wonders for a lot of success-driven people. You might love your bed and sleeping in late but while you’re lazing around, goal-driven people are waking up at 5 a.m. and going for jogs and keeping themselves healthy as well as wide awake. Some successful people wake up early to create more time for themselves while others use it to stay healthy and develop their best thoughts at that time of the day.(Reuters)
