
At least 41 people have lost their lives and around 65.37 lakh hit by floods in 12 districts in Bihar. The second wave of floods in Assam have submerged rhino habitats Kaziranga National Park (KNP) and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary forcing the animals there to take shelter on highlands. The floods in Assam took the toll this season to 102, and hit nearly 32 lakh people in 25 districts, besides snapping rail connectivity to the Northeast.
