Sri Lanka floods have claimed 100 lives and the situation in the neighbouring country is not at its best. The country has been suffering from torrential rains and have caused much destruction in the past two days. According to the latest reports, 100 people have been reported dead while more than 99 are still missing. To help the country heal faster, Indian Navy's INS Kirch was sent to Sri Lanka for the relief operations. The other two ships are on their way. (Source: Twitter/@MFA_SriLanka)

The second ship INS Jalashwan will carry Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Relief stores with them. It will carry clothings, medicines and water for the victims. 300 army troops and 13 Navy rescue teams have already been employed in Weeraketiya, Neluwa, Morawaka, Deiyandara, Padukka, Bulathsinhala, Kalawana, Wellampitiya, Palindanuwara and Beliatta areas. (Reuters)
