A day rich in diplomacy and symbolism unfolded in New Delhi as Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Russian President Vladimir Putin for the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit, marking the Russian leader’s first visit to India in four years. President Putin began his Day 2 itinerary in India with a tri-services guard of honour at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, followed by a solemn tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. President Droupadi Murmu, along with senior leaders, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Russian Defence Minister Andrey Belousov and Kremlin officials, joined key moments throughout the day. The two leaders later proceeded to Hyderabad House for bilateral talks.
