Uttarakashi district in Uttarakhand was hit with devastating flash floods on August 6 that led to widespread destruction and left hundreds of residents stranded. In response, a massive rescue operation was launched involving the Indian Army’s Ibex Brigade, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and local volunteers.
