The Japanese automaker Toyota has updated its popular models Fortuner and Innova for the Indian market. Where Fortuner gets the top variant in the form of 4X4 automatic mechanism, Innova adds new base variant to its already massive line-up with apt changes in its entire line-up. N Raja, Director and Senior Vice President for sales and marketing, stated that Toyota is now the "first manufacturer in mass segment to standardize front SRS Airbags across all models and in all grades." The same has also taken effect in both the vehicles namely <a href="http://www.cardekho.com/carmodels/Toyota/Toyota_Innova">Toyota Innova</a> and Fortuner featuring standard dual-front airbags for both the driver and co-passenger. The new Fortuner gets dual-front airbags and an automatic option for 4X4 drivetrain, which was earlier available with only 4X2 variant. When it comes to aesthetics for the exterior, there is an additional paint color scheme for the 17 inch alloy wheels in the form of dark grey. The smoked head and tail lamps also add a lot of glamour to the already exquisite looking vehicle. The fog lamp housing is also surrounded by new silver bezels that adds to the appeal of the overall appearance. As far as the interior is concerned, Fortuner gets all-black upholstery with woodish theme. For entertainment, Fortuner comes with an infotainment system that can be interacted via touch screen while there is a DVD player as well along with voice recognition and built-in navigation system.
