Sanam Re box office collections: This Pulkit Samrat starrer has pulled off a big surprise and managed to collect Rs 5.04 cr on day 1. This is a good performance from a movie that does not star top actors and which is battling another film that has a top actor Katrina Kaif in a lead role at the B.O. Of course, after taking the day 1 honours at the B.O. with an occupancy rate of 35-40% in morning shows, Sanam Re filmakers must have hoped to just about break the Rs 10 crore collections barrier, but that did not happen. Unfortunately, the crowds did improve during the evening as much as expected. Still, this is a magnificent performance for a film that was not at all hyped up by over-the-top marketing.
