Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro, in China. Both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Qualcomm’s latest flagship mobile processor. They also run on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS operating system, which is based on Android 14.
The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro have similar designs, with flat displays, punch-hole cutouts for the front-facing cameras, and triple-lens rear camera systems. The main difference between the two devices is the size of the display, with the Xiaomi 14 featuring a 6.36-inch display and the Xiaomi 14 Pro featuring a 6.73-inch 1440×3200 px 12-bit LTPO OLED panel with 120 Hz refresh rate.

The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro also have different camera specifications. The Xiaomi 14 Pro comes with a new “Light Hunter 900” sensor, complemented by a custom Leica Summilux lens.
This new sensor boasts 50 megapixels and a 1/1.31″ size with 1.2 µm pixel size and 13.5 EV dynamic range. The 23 mm lens on this sensor has a variable aperture, ranging from f/1.42 at its widest to f/4.0 when closed. The camera setup also includes a 75 mm f/2.0 floating telephoto camera with the ability to capture 40 MP regular photos and 50 MP portrait mode shots. Additionally, there’s a 50 MP f/2.2 14 mm ultrawide camera that can shoot close-up macro images from as close as 5 cm.
The Xiaomi 14 boasts a 50-megapixel primary camera with the same 1/1.31″ “Light Hunter” sensor with 1.2 µm pixel size, but it features a fixed-aperture 23 mm f/1.6 lens. The 75 mm floating telephoto camera is the same as on the 14 Pro. Then there’s also a 50-megapixel 14 mm ultrawide camera.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, manufactured using TSMC’s 4 nm process. It is paired with either 12 GB or 16 GB of high-speed LPDDR5X RAM and storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device is equipped with a 4,880 mAh battery and supports rapid charging with 120 W wired and 50 W wireless capabilities.
The Xiaomi 14 is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, offering options of 8 GB, 12 GB, or 16 GB of high-speed LPDDR5X RAM, and 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage options. In terms of battery, it features a 4,610 mAh battery that supports 90 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging.
Will the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro come to India?
Xiaomi has confirmed a global launch but the company has only brought the Pro model so far to India so it will likely bring the Xiaomi 14 Pro to India soon.
Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro: Pricing and availability
The Xiaomi 14 Pro starts at CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs 56,500) for the model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The price increases to CNY 5,499 (about Rs 62,000) for the 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage variant, CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs 68,200) for the 16GB of RAM and 1TB storage option, and finally, CNY 6,499 (roughly Rs 74,000) for the 16GB of RAM and 1TB storage model.
Xiaomi 14, on the other hand, starts at CNY 3,999 (around Rs. 50,000) for the version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 4,299 (approximately Rs 48,000). The model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage is available for CNY 4,599 (about Rs 52,000), and the highest-priced option with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage is CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs 56,000).
