Vivo V50 quick review
Vivo V50 comes in three colour choices.

Vivo V50 has officially launched in India at a starting price of Rs 34,999. Sequel to the V40, the V50 brings incremental—but quality-of-life—improvements including improved fit and finish, bigger battery and faster charging. There is no V50 Pro launching alongside and so, the V50 has even more reason to shine.

We have already reviewed the V50 and found it to be a solid value proposition especially because Vivo didn’t hike the price despite putting in more features. And yet, in some areas—primarily the processor and storage type—we wish Vivo had done better. If so, the V50 would have become an unbeatable deal at its price, no questions asked. But since that is not the case, we decided to write a complete rundown of all the key Vivo V50 specs and features, to give you a quick look at what you can expect if you’re out in the market.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Vivo V50 in 10 points:

  1. Design and build: The V50 has a glass back, though Vivo doesn’t specify the type. The front has Diamond Shield Glass which Vivo claims makes it more resistant to drops than the V40. The outer frame is made of plastic. The phone has IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings. It comes in three colours: rose red, starry night, and titanium gray.
  2. Display: The Vivo V50 has a 6.77-inch FHD+ (2392 × 1080p) AMOLED display with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The panel can top 4500 nits and supports HDR10+ playback. It is quad-curved which is to say that Vivo has bent the screen on all four sides just enough to look aesthetically pleasing without compromising on functionality.
  3. Processor: The V50 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor under the hood, which is the same as the V40 before it.
  4. Memory: The phone comes in a choice of 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB. All the models have LPDDR4X RAM and UFS2.2 storage. Storage expansion is not available.
  5. Software: The V50 runs Vivo’s Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15.
  6. Software support: Vivo is committing to three years of major OS and four years of security updates.
  7. Rear camera: The Vivo V50 has dual 50MP cameras on the back, one behind a wide f/1.88 lens with optical image stabilisation and the other behind an f/2.0 ultrawide angle lens with autofocus.
  8. Front camera: The front camera is also 50MP on this phone. It has autofocus. Video recording up to 4K@30fps is available.
  9. Battery, charging: The V50 has a 6000mAh battery and supports 90W fast charging.
  10. Price: The 8GB/128GB variant of the Vivo V50 is priced at Rs 34,999, the 8GB/256GB at Rs 36,999, while the top-of-the-line 12GB/512GB model will set you back by Rs 40,999.
