Following its tradition ahead of Olympic games, Samsung has launched its Galaxy Note 8 in a new avatar. Called the Galaxy Note 8 PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games Limited Edition, it will carry forward Samsung’s Olympic legacy of supporting athletes and the Olympic family. Samsung will hand out Galaxy Note PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games Limited Edition smartphones to them. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games Limited Edition has a refreshed look with a new glossy white finish and gold Olympics ring on the back panel. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 S Pen has also been redesigned with golden cues to match with the handset.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games Limited Edition will come with the specifications similar to the original Galaxy Note 8. The smartphone sports a 6.3-inch quad-HD+ Super-AMOLED Infinity Display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Exynos 8895 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD (up to 256GB). The Galaxy Note 8 houses a dual camera setup with Dual OIS (optical image stabilisation) on the back. The rear camera setup comprises of one 12-megapixel shooter with wide-angle, autofocus, f/1.7 aperture, and OIS, and the other 12-megapixel shooter featuring a telephoto lens with a f/2.4 aperture. There is a 3300mAh battery packed inside the smartphone.
To commemorate the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, Samsung has also customised the themes of the new Galaxy Note 8 PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games Limited Edition. The smartphone comes preloaded with PyeongChang 2018 themed wallpapers. The smartphone will be handed out to the participants along with limited edition customised mobile cases.
