With Samsung’s Unpacked event less than two weeks away, excitement is building as leaks about upcoming devices continue to surface. Noted tipster Evan Blass has shared high-resolution marketing images of Samsung’s upcoming wearables: the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Buds 3, and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. These images leave little to the imagination and provide a detailed look at what’s to come.
Galaxy Watch Ultra: A new contender
The Galaxy Watch Ultra stands out with its Apple Watch Ultra-like proprietary connection between the case and watch bands, deviating from Samsung’s traditional use of spring pins that allow for broader compatibility with third-party straps. The watch’s round display is encased in a squircle design, with orange accents reminiscent of Apple’s flagship wearable. Unlike Apple’s single-colour approach, Samsung is expected to offer the Galaxy Watch Ultra in three colours: silver, titanium, and black. This marks a notable design shift and suggests a premium positioning in the smartwatch market.
Galaxy Watch 7: A familiar aesthetic
The standard Galaxy Watch 7 retains Samsung’s established design language, appealing to those who prefer a classic look. The olive green version, shared by Blass, is particularly eye-catching. This model appears to stick closely to the aesthetic choices that have defined Samsung’s smartwatch lineup in recent years, ensuring it remains accessible and familiar to longtime users.
Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro: A design evolution
The new Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are adopting a stemmed design, a departure from the completely in-ear fit of previous models. The Galaxy Buds 3, especially in glossy white, bear a resemblance to Apple’s AirPods, while the Pro version stands out with a dark gray finish and a transparent case lid. This design shift is likely aimed at improving voice call quality and more seamless interactions with AI, which the longer stem approach should be better at.
Upcoming announcements
Samsung’s Unpacked event, scheduled for July 10 in Paris, is expected to feature the announcement of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, with modest updates for the foldables reportedly in the pipeline, it seems the bigger focus will be on the new wave of wearables, including Samsung’s maiden smart ring, which has generated considerable anticipation.
Samsung has kicked off pre-reservations for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, Watch Ultra, Watch 7, Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro ahead of launch. It remains to be seen if the Samsung Galaxy Ring will also make its way to India or not. stay tuned for more updates.
